MX5 / Miata differential casings are prone to snapping. More torque from a turbo or supercharger conversion, more mechanical grip or simply hard driving and launches can lead to a failure.
Mounting without the Mazda Power Plant Frame (PPF) also seems to make the failures more common. For this reason we highly recommend this modification when the diff is to be mounted in a kit car.
You will need to send us your diff casing. This needs to be from an 1800cc open or Torsen diff. Please make sure it is oil free.
We will then:
Press out your old bushings
Bead blast the casing to look like new
Weld on our billet CNC machined diff bracings
